Incomparably better than the Flir Lepton 3.5 I had.
This is a very high quality thermal imager. It will take a little playing around with the settings to get the highest quality of photos, but don't let that discourage you, this under $300 thermal camera beats plenty of thermal cameras over the $1000 price mark. Thermal Master is top tier in this field, and they make great tools besides this. I will be picking up more products off of them for my business. Thanks, Thermal Master.
USB kept cutting out on a COMe board during file transfers. Scanned it with the P3 and noticed a small hot spot on one corner of the USB controller. Dialed in the focus and saw a thin thermal line pointing right to one BGA pad. You don’t usually catch that kind of detail unless you're using something with over 500 IR resolution. Reflowed that area and it’s been solid since.
I've seen some reviews of this camera and I was directly in love with this masterpiece ! Compared to a FLIR, what was Nr. 1 with thermal cameras over years it is double the specs for half the price !
It is a bit weired that the Android-App you have to install for the P3 is named "Temp Master", while the App "Thermal Master" seams to be only for other cameras, and the Windows-App on the Website is also named a bit weired with "Only Android Version", but this is only a managable detail ... ;-)
I'm really happy with this purchse !
Pro: The camera is pretty good, manual focus is nice for close distances especially.
Cons: It lacks the ability to switch to automatic focus, it only has manual focus.
